Your quoted rate is all inclusive of all charging, including carrier’s fuel surcharge. Because carrier fuel surcharge rates fluctuate weekly based on the national average cost of diesel fuel, your quote is valid for 7 days before a recalculation is required.

 

For frequent and regular business, we recommend a commercial credit account with us for easy and simple billing with terms of net 30 days upon approval. We also accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express. And we will accept cash, money orders and certified cheques at our Operations Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

When we notice a hic-up or delay we work stealthily behind the scenes to restore the forward progress, or otherwise provide notice to our customer about the matter so that compromises or alternative plans can be made. Canadian Freight Quote.com will usually know before you do if the goods are damaged during transportation because we track all our shipments daily. However, if you become aware of a damage to your shipment, send an email to [email protected] advising us of the problem, the details of the situation, photos of the damage, copies of supplier’s to substantiate the claim amount. We’ll take the pain and hassle off of your shoulders of having to deal with the carrier yourself by expertly filing a rock-solid claim against the carrier on your behalf.

Every carrier operating in Canada is required by The Motor Transport Board to carry cargo insurance to a minimum of $2.00 per pound. Canadian Freight Quote.com only offers the services of carriers that have valid insurance that meet those standards required by law. extra insurance for high value products is also available through 3rd party insurance providors – ask us for a quote. Canadian Freight Quote.com / Complete Shipping Solutions itself does not carry cargo insurance because we are not the carrier.

The standard LTL transit times displayed in our quotes are the scheduled transit times supplied by the respective carriers. Standard transit times are not guaranteed. Canadian Freight Quote.com however offers some carriers on some lanes that do offer a guaranteed transit/delivery time, which is a premium service at premium rates. Just ask us about it and we’ll design a custom solution for your needs.

Our system provides a PDF copy of the Bill of Lading. Make 2 copies and have them ready for when the driver makes the pick up. You MUST use the Complete Shipping Solutions/Canadian Freight Quote.com Bill of Lading. Failure to do so may create a major headache for all parties involved. You could be billed by the carrier at full cost (much higher than our quote), or your shipment may be sent COD (Cash on Delivery) to your customer. Upon pick up, the driver will sign both copies of the Bill of Lading and leave one with you for your records.

This is rare, but mistakes can happen. Please email [email protected] and we will correct the billing situation immediately. This usually occurs when the Bill of Lading our system provide you was not supplied to the driver upon pick up, but it can also be an honest mistake by the carrier.
